Story: Emotional changes of the protagonist.Character Arc

Boy is traumatized,  Orphaned, traumatized by events
experienced. He loses confidence, experience.

ACT I
Plot:
Show the crash
Fade to the baby sitters house.-
Billy is  taken by child services , it is a trauma...
Orphaned he moves from Oklahoma to Chicago
Meets new Family
Family night ...little boy sees something he does not 
under stand... he is lonely ...misses his home his Mother, his Dad

DRAMATIC ELEMENTS 

Passion  - importance of proper balance in childhood 
nurturing and protection.

Theme - The message the writer wants the reader to get 
from the  story - the lesson - family is worth saving and 
nurturing is vital. 
 

             
CONVEY theme, give protagonist a FLAW
opposite the Theme.... Billy is raised by 
Uncle Bob, his father's brother. Bob has good intentions
but his method has good and bad elements, kinks when it 
comes to child rearing. His initial trauma is intensified in a 
young boy who just lost his parents. He especially misses
his mother.

Uncle Bob teachers him to ignore women and think about 
school and books. This is taken to heart by Billy.

Nine point summary

Hook]

... A couple in their late twenties are in their '58 Ford 
and  are driving down a black top road. There is a distraction+collision  and they go up in a ball of fire. 

 Billy's baby sitter answers the door and the police are 
there to take little 10 year old Billy and put him into
child services.

After the passage of time his Aunt Floy in Chicago are
contacted. 

Billy is put on a bus. He is met by his aunt. He moves in 
with his uncle Bob. He has his own room over the bar.




Background] Billy' parents die in a car wreck . He moves 
into a room over Uncle Bob's Tavern on 
Chicago's Northwest Side.. Billy is 10 years old.

He settles in meets the Family in Chicago..

There is Family night at Aunt Flory's.


Trigger]  Some thing happens to 
Billy that changes everything.
